I enjoy performing many roles on the world stage: theatre director, actor, playwright, voice-over and commerical actor, acting coach. With each role I bring an enthusiasm and energy that Captures Imaginations and Inspires Innovation.

As a child, I would write, direct, and act in plays, and play school with my imaginary stuffed animal students seated on the floor. Somehow, I must have seen the link between education and the arts. The arts gave me the freedom to imagine, create, appreciate beauty, sense tragedy, and understand the human experience. Acting, directing, playwriting developed my sense of empathy, imagining myself in another person’s life circumstances. On stage I helped an audience to feel, to think, to examine, to question, to discover. Behind the scense, I was being introduced to the wonderful world of learning, of education.

As a professor, these precious theatre gifts accompanied me in each classroom and each class. I encouraged each student to find a voice, to be heard, to express, to imagine, to create. When I write a play, create a character for the stage, teach a class, conduct a seminar, audition for a voice over or a role in a play, I bring to each my dual passions: theatre and education.
